Three PhD positions at UTwente
The University of Twente has three PhD positions available on the prediction of the functional effects due to surgery on the musculoskeletal system of patients using the Twente Lower Extremity Model (TLEM).
The University of Twente (UT) is involved in a European project aimed to improve patient safety and post-operative functionality of patients who have to undergo severe surgery to their musculoskeletal system. The starting point of the project is the Twente Lower Extremity Model (TLEM) which is a musculoskeletal model with which muscle forces can be calculated during all kinds of daily activities.

Professorship at University of Muenster
The Institute of Sport Science, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germany), invites applications for a Professorship In Human Performance And Training In Sports (W2).
The candidate should possess experiences connecting to the sub-disciplines of sport psychology and movement science. Possible themes in research could be directed towards expertise in high level sports, or motor learning, or attention and perception, or basic neurological principles of moving and
learning.

PhD position at TU Delft
The Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering (3ME) has a PhD position available on a project, called ‘Identification of Neuromuscular Control of Trunk Musculature in Low-Back Pain.
Within the research programme NeuroSIPE we investigate stabilisation of the lumbar spine (lower back) in healthy subjects as well as in subjects with low back pain.
Our mission is to clarify complex sensorimotor stabilisation processes in healthy subjects, to identify mechanisms underlying development of low back pain, and to develop enhanced diagnostic and treatment methods.
Volunteer experiments will be used to identify structure and parameters of the applicable sensorimotor feedback system including muscular sensors such as muscle spindles and Golgi tendon organs. An available musculoskeletal model will be used to clarify complex 3D stabilisation processes of the trunk musculature.

PhD or post-doc position K.U. Leuven
The Department of Biomedical Kinesiology of the K.U. Leuven has a 4 y PhD or 3 y post-doc position available.
